Today the student of the Architectural Design Academy had the pleasure of visiting The School of Architecture at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland.
The visit was kicked off with an introduction from the Assistant of the Dean, Evan Richardson. It was apparent that the goal of the visit was to get the students engaged as they were almost immediately tasked to build a tower out of paper as tall as they could. Sounds simple enough, but there was a catch.......it had to hold an egg at the top. The teams rushed to construct their towers and when time we up the towers were tested. Each design was unique in it's own way. After the challenge students were given a tour of the beautiful building. They were able to see the studio room, fabrication laboratory which housed state of the art laser cnc cutter, a cnc router, 3d printer and traditional power tools , computer labs, and various other rooms. I'd like to extend a special thanks out to Suzanne Frasier of Morgan State for her continued support of the Architectural Design Academy. Thanks for hosting such a nice event! Comments are closed.
